Kelavi

Release notes

What's new in Kelavi, newest first.

  1. Building your map, step by step

Signing in is one email and one code, and making your map is a clear sequence you can always step out of.

    Sign in with a code

    • Enter your email, type the code we send you, and you're in — the same steps whether you're new or coming back.
    • No confirmation link anymore, and no need to enter your email twice.
    • The code screen shows your address partly hidden, survives a page refresh, and lets you request a new code or use a different address.

    Making your map

    • Choose as many photos as you like. They appear one by one as Kelavi reads them, and you can start choosing straight away.
    • Add more photos to the same selection at any time before you build your map.
    • If a photo can't be uploaded, the rest are saved anyway — retry just the ones that failed.
    • Tap a photo to add it to your map — every photo clearly shows whether it's added.
    • “Build my map” stays in view at the bottom of the screen while you choose, with a count of what you've added.
    • Three steps show where you are: Add photos, Choose your moments, Build your map.
    • The upload screen is now a focused workspace, without the website footer.

    Chapters

    • Delete a chapter from the ••• menu in the chapter editor. Its places and photos are removed, and your shared map and poster update with it.
    • “Back to your map” stays visible at the top of the chapter editor, and saving a note confirms “Changes saved”.

    Start over

    • Map settings → Start over removes your map, chapters and photos and turns off any links you've shared. Your account stays.
  2. Kelavi reconstructs. You curate.

Kelavi now finds moments, places and chapters in your photos — and asks when it isn't sure.

    Photo intelligence

    • Photos taken close together become moments, moments become places, and places become the chapters of your life.
    • Kelavi keeps what it knows apart from what it suspects, and only asks you a short question when a guess needs your confirmation.
    • Kelavi never recognises or identifies people in your photos.

    Faster

    • Pages use small previews instead of full-size photos, so your map loads faster and uses less data.

    New pages

    • How it works, Life map, Photo map, Prints, Examples, About, Privacy by design and an FAQ.

    Print

    • The print studio now focuses on the poster, with the Story layout as the starting point.

    Fixes

    • Setting up a passkey works again, and when something goes wrong the message now says what happened.
    • Images on the homepage now appear where they belong.
    • Security improvements.
  3. Lighter photos

Less waiting while you upload, and less data on every visit.

    Improvements

    • Photos are resized in your browser before they're uploaded, which also removes camera and location data from the stored file.
    • The poster preview no longer downloads your full-size photos every time it redraws.
  4. My Map is your workspace

It's now clear that My Map is where you build your story — and where it goes from there.

    My Map

    • My Map reads as your editor, with one Preview menu for your shared story, your poster and My World Through Time.
    • On desktop, Share and Poster sit together at the top right.
    • A short “How this works” card explains the flow. Dismiss it, and bring it back whenever you like.
    • “Add photos” is now “Add memories”, and every step you open from My Map has a way back.
  5. Kelavi Print and a new shared map

Turn your map into a poster you can hang on the wall, and share a map that tells your story.

    Kelavi Print

    • A Life Map poster in A4, A3, A2 or 50 × 70 cm, with your own title, a personal note and the memories you choose.
    • A photo wall along your timeline, and an optional QR code to your map.
    • One price, no subscription — with clear terms on VAT, withdrawal and refunds.
    • The live preview works in Safari, and emoji that can't be printed are left out with a notice rather than silently.

    Shared map

    • Map, timeline and chapters now move together as one story. On a phone, swipe through the chapters.
    • One marker per place, place names that no longer overlap, and more room for the map.
  6. My Map as a life document

Your map now reads as the chapters of your life, oldest to newest.

    Improvements

    • A redesigned homepage that shows what Kelavi makes.
    • My Map is laid out as your life story rather than a dashboard.
    • Coming back from a chapter returns you to the same place and year on the timeline.
  7. Sharing and staying in touch

A shared map worth opening, and a Kelavi that remembers the days that mattered.

    New

    • Shared maps became a full life-map experience, with highlighted chapters.
    • Sign in with a code from your email — which also works in the installed app.
    • “On this day” emails, with preferences for what you receive.
    • Clear cookie choices, legal pages and a site footer.

    Improvements

    • Uploading from a phone is faster and more reliable, and photos that fail can be retried on their own.
  8. Kelavi — Places made us.

The first version of Kelavi: a private map of your life, built from the photos you already have.

    The beginning

    • Kelavi builds your map from the date and location already in your photos. They're read in your browser before anything is sent.
    • You choose which photos to keep as memories. The others only mark a place on your map.
    • Your life in chapters and on a timeline, with a reveal of what Kelavi found after your first upload.
    • My World Through Time: a recap of your map that you can share.
    • Share your map with a link. Your map starts private.
    • Install Kelavi as an app, sign in with a passkey, and delete your account with all its data at any time.
